Don Reid
Don has been in Costa Rica since 2005 buying and packaging superior coastal properties for developers. He has built an excellent development team and extremely competent local support to move these projects forward. In 2014 he purchased with his partners the Iguanazul Ocean Front Hotel, a world class piece of property on the Pacific ocean voted as best view and sunset in the country. This project has since been subdivided into 13 private community lots and shared facilities.
Before discovering Costa Rica, Don has owned an operated and still does the number 1 security company in the Sea to Sky corridor. From Vancouver to Whistler, British Columbia. During that 30 year span he has been heavily involved in the building of what is now the number 1 ski resort in North America. From construction to property management to security Don has been involved in most things developed there. Don was a leading security consultant for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Mike Duggan
Currently consulting on a number of hospitality related projects including the acquisition of an Okanagan ski resort, a cottage resort on Salt Spring Island and private dining club for Whistler Blackcomb at the summit of Whistler Mountain.
His consulting work has been in and around hotel and resort operations, resort feasibility and development and vertical marketing programs.
He was the General Manager of the Nita Lake Lodge, the leading boutique hotel property in Whistler, one of the most competitive resort environments in North America until November of 2009. During his tenure it rose to #1 on Trip Advisor and was able to achieve 4 Diamond Status with AAA. He provided the start – up services and management for this property while also overseeing the opening services and operation for luxury boutique properties in Vancouver, Victoria, Ucluelet and Osoyoos. Subsequently, each of these properties achieved # 1 status with Trip Advisor.
He had previously spent three years managing the Pan Pacific Hotel at Whistler. During my tenure we led this market in ADR and RevPar.
He chaired the board of directors of Tourism British Columbia, a government Crown Corporation, for 5 years from 2001 to 2006.
He was the lead developer on Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet BC which opened in January of 2009 and has been recognized by Conde Nast as one of the top hotels globally.
Tammy Brown
Ms. Brown has delighted in creating campaigns and brands for more than 25 years both at the helm of her own firm and in positions held with other companies.
She has served as Creative Director, Director of Marketing, Manager of Retail Packaging, Manager of US Franchising and Managing Director, within various companies such as Intrawest, Expedia, and The Factors Group and Loblaws Group.
